Precious Memorials Poems

Children/babies

Author unknown

1)

A precious one from us is gone

A voice we loved is stilled

A place is vacant in our home

Which never can be filled.

2)

God knows how much we miss him,

Never shall his memory fade;

Loving thoughts shall ever wander,

To the spot where he is laid.

3)

Sad is the heart of her parents,

Yet brave as she'd want us to be

Consoled by the thought of meeting

On the shore of eternity.

4)

Clasped in the arms of Jesus,

Safe on His gentle breast,

There by His arms entwined

Sweetly her soul now rests.

5)

He has solved it, life's wonderful problem,

The deepest, the strangest, the last,

And into the school of the angels

With the answer forever has passed.

How strange he should sleep so profoundly,

So young, so unworn by the strife,

While beside him, brimful of hope's nectar,

Untouched, stood the goblet of life.

God knew all about it; how noble,

How gentle he was, and how brave;

How bright his possible future,

Yet put him to sleep in his grave.

God knew all about those who loved him

How bitter the trial must be;

And right through it all, God is loving,

And knows so much better than we

6)

Two little hands are resting,

A little heart is still;

A little one we loved is waiting

For us just over the hill.

7)

O blessed little sunbeam,

O child of love and prayer;

We give thee to the keeping

Of the tender Shepherd's care.

8)

She was a flower too sweet for earth,

Sent here but for a while;

God marked her when He gave her birth

And took her with a smile.

9)

No stain was on her little heart,

Sin had not entered there,

And, innocent, slept sweetly on,

That pale, white brow so fair.

She was too pure for this cold earth,

To beautiful to stay,

And so God's holy angel bore

Our darling one away

10)

She was only a little white rose,

A sweet little flower from birth;

God took her home to heaven

Before she was soiled on earth.

We miss her love and cheery ways;

With her we spent our happiest days;

In memory we see her the same;

As long as we live, we'll cherish her name.

11)

In the golden street of Heaven

As the happy children play

Gentle Jesus watches o'er them

Caring for them day by day.

We may find comfort knowing

In our Father's home above,

Our brother is happy

In the sweetness of His love.

12)

There the earthly buds transplanted

For our coming watch and wait,

In the upper garden growing

Just within the pearly gate.

Though' our hearts may be breaking,

By the grief so hard to bare,

We shall meet her, one bright morn,

In the upper garden there

13)

Gone from the earth so swiftly,

Just like a flower in bloom,

So young, so fair, so loving,

Yet called away so soon.

We'll meet her some glad morning,

Resting by waters fair,

She is waiting for our coming,

In the upper garden there,

Safe in the arms of Jesus.

14)

Fondly loved and deeply mourned

Heart of my heart, I miss you so,

Often my darling, my tears flow,

Dimming your picture before my eyes

But never the one in my heart that lies,

The Little one

We Longed for

Was Swiftly here and Gone

But The Love

That was then Planted

Is a light

That Still Shines On

AUTHOR UNKOWN

Though you could not

Grace us with time

You surely blessed us

With Memories

AUTHOR UNKOWN

So long we waited

to meet you

But so quickly you

slipped away

Now we wait to

meet you again

and dream of that

Heavenly day.

AUTHOR UNKOWN

"An Angel in the book of life,

Wrote down our baby's birth

and whispered as she closed the book...

too beautiful for earth..."

AUTHOR UNKOWN

Your name is so precious

it will never grow old

It is etched in my heart

in letters of Gold
